  • Neural Networks and Deep Learning An excellent book with some really nice interactive pieces. Much less math intensive than the Bengio book, although still more math-focused than code-focused.
  • Deep Learning A very math heavy book on the basics of Deep Learning, by leading researchers (as of 2016) in the field: Yoshua Bengio, Ian Goodfellow, and Aaron Courville.
